Small humorous hunting sketch, painted in oil on board, dating from the nineteenth century.
In the background a huntswoman, dressed in black with flowing blonde hair and riding sidesaddle on a chestnut steed, is leaping over a crumbling stone wall. The rider in the foreground, dressed in scarlet with white breeches and brown leather topped black boots, has pulled up his mount to make chase. Titled to the reverse "Affair Leap".
