Here we offer for sale a fine period English four poster bed.

The headboard with sliding door compartments to the top above three carved Elizabethan star panels and plain moulded panels below, dated 1577. Original side rails lead to the crisply carved turned posts.

The tester (canopy) has 16 panels and plain moulded cornice.

This is a top quality bed with excelent colour and patina. It has had some alterations in its lifetime including splitting the canopy in two (for easy transportation) bed and replacement nuts and screws.

The bed is complete with expensive Morpheus bed bases and mattress. The mattress is hand made with natural fillings and spring unit. Meets all current flame retardant standards. Also included top quality winter and summer matching curtain and bed cover.
