Late Victorian porcelain two handled vase and cover made by Royal Worcester

The whole with a blush ivory ground and gilded decoration. The lid with gilded finial. The vase has a gilded upper rim with fretwork decoration as traditional for a pot pourri. Ornate, crisply moulded handles to either side with heavy gilt decoration. 

The vase is painted with an "Art Spray" scattered floral arrangement to the front and a smaller arrangement to the back; thistles and daisies. Monogrammed to the lower right of the flowers on the front  ER for Edward Raby. Edward Raby (1863-1940) was a designer and floral painter at Royal Worcester best know for his work on the blush ivory. He came from a family of porcelain artists, being the son of Edward Samuel Raby (Bristol) and the uncle of Harry Davis (Royal Worcester).

This piece has lots of quality and is offered in excellent condition commensurate with age. It has a price label to the underside showing what was paid for the piece when it was last sold.
